List your website accounts before work starts
A simple account inventory prevents the wrong subscription being cancelled or the wrong person being asked for access. You do not need to understand every technical setting. Start by identifying which provider handles each service and who in your business controls it.
Before you start
- Your current website address and any alternative domain names you use.
- Recent provider invoices or account names, viewed privately rather than uploaded wholesale.
- The person in your business responsible for payments and account recovery.
What to do
List the separate services
Create rows for website platform, hosting, domain registration, DNS, email and any booking or payment tool. One provider may cover several rows. Record its name and the business account owner, but leave passwords, recovery codes and card numbers out of the inventory you share.
Identify dependencies before cancelling anything
Note which subscriptions appear connected. For example, your website and email may be billed together, or your domain may renew through a different company. Do not cancel an account because its name sounds like old hosting; ask what else would stop.
Check ownership and usable access
Confirm that your business can sign in or contact the named owner. If an old supplier owns the account, flag this before work starts. PresGro needs appropriate access, not an assumption that paying for a new website automatically transfers control of existing services.
Share a minimal project summary
Provide the platform and provider names, the access contact and any renewal date that affects the work. Use named collaborator invitations where available. Keep the original inventory with your business and update it after an agreed change or handover.
What to check
- The domain is distinguishable from the website hosting and email service.
- You know who can approve changes and who can grant access.
- Any proposed cancellation has been checked against the services that depend on it.
