Check a Wix Editor page on mobile

Wix Editor includes a mobile editing view for checking the smaller-screen version of your site. Use it after desktop content changes rather than assuming the result is equally clear on a phone. Wix Studio uses a different responsive workflow, so first identify which editor your website actually uses.

Before you start

  • Choose one page and list the visible mobile problems.
  • Keep a screenshot of the current desktop layout for comparison.
  • Have access to a real phone as well as the editor preview.

What to do

  1. Review the page from top to bottom

Switch to the mobile view in Wix Editor and inspect the headline, main image, menus and contact routes. Look for large empty gaps, cramped text or content hidden behind fixed elements. Check the bottom of the page, where footers and contact bars can collide.

  2. Adjust a specific visible issue

Use supported mobile controls for the selected element rather than rebuilding the whole desktop layout. Work on one change at a time and compare the original. Check what a control affects before deleting anything; removing content is different from hiding an element in a particular view.

  3. Check important content was not lost

A cleaner layout is not useful if the phone number, service limitation or price disappears. Read the page as a customer and verify the main action remains understandable. Keep text as readable text rather than shrinking it into a decorative image.

  4. Publish and inspect on a phone

Once the whole version is approved, publish and open the real public URL on a phone. Try the menu, scroll past the changed area and inspect links without placing an unwanted call or booking. Editor previews help, but they are not every visitor’s actual device.

What to check

  • Essential information is visible without sideways scrolling.
  • Fixed controls do not cover the page’s final content.
  • Desktop presentation still works after the change.
