Is the provider down, or is it your website?
A provider incident and a fault limited to your website can look similar from one browser. Start by recording the symptom and checking the relevant supplier's official status information. A green status page does not prove your site is healthy, and an incident elsewhere does not prove it caused your problem.
Before you start
- Record the exact URL, error message, time and recent changes.
- Identify the actual host, website platform and any failing third-party tool.
What to do
Separate the affected function
Does the whole domain fail, one page show an error, or only the booking widget stop loading? Note whether your email works independently. This narrows the support question and helps avoid attributing a form error to a general hosting outage without evidence.
Check an official status source
Use the provider's known website or account to find its status page, rather than a random warning in a search result. Compare the named service, region where relevant and incident timing with your observation. A status entry for another product may be unrelated.
Compare a small number of normal checks
Try the same public address on your own usual connection and mobile data where available. Record the result without submitting private information or repeatedly refreshing. Different results are clues for the administrator, not permission to replace DNS records or disable security settings.
Send a focused support report
Provide the affected address, times, symptoms and any relevant official incident link. Ask for the next checkpoint if the provider confirms an outage. If it does not explain the issue, continue with a site-specific investigation rather than waiting indefinitely for a generic status update.
What to check
- The status source belongs to the actual provider and affected product.
- Observed symptoms and incident timing are compared rather than assumed to match.
- Someone has a clear next step without multiple conflicting live changes.
