Problem assessment: evidence and next steps
An assessment buys up to 30 minutes investigating one reported issue. The useful result is a clear account of the evidence and an honest next step. A short investigation cannot guarantee that the underlying cause will be found or that a repair is included.
What to prepare
- Identify one issue and the page where it happens.
- Provide reproducible steps, screenshots and relevant timings.
- Remove private data from examples and start with the least necessary access.
Delivery and review
Make the symptom specific
Say what you expected and what happened instead. Note whether the issue affects one device, a logged-in user or everyone you have checked. Avoid sending several unrelated faults under one vague request to check the website; the assessment has a defined time and issue boundary.
Read the findings with their limits
The report should distinguish observed behaviour from a possible explanation and name uncertainty that remains. Where the cause is understood, a fixed repair quote can be offered. Malware removal, account recovery, forensic work and emergency support are outside the assessment.
Choose whether to proceed
You can use the findings to decide your next action; buying an assessment does not oblige you to buy a repair. If you accept PresGro’s quote for the same repair within 30 days, the £49 is deducted once against that quote using your order reference. It is not an automatic basket discount.
What to check
- The report identifies evidence and any remaining uncertainty.
- Investigation and separately quoted repair are clearly distinguished.
- Any same-repair credit is agreed against the relevant order reference.
