Contact button fixes: destinations and checks
A button fix connects a clear customer action to an approved destination. It does not replace a form submission system or create a booking service. Your preparation should establish where each button goes and what the visitor expects after pressing it.
What to prepare
- Choose up to three contact links and supply their complete destinations.
- Confirm the telephone number, email address, map pin or existing booking URL.
- Identify the page and existing location where the action belongs.
Delivery and review
Name the intended action
Use a specific label such as Call the café or Book an appointment. Say whether the link should open the phone dialler, an email application, a messaging conversation or another website. That choice affects what a successful check looks like.
Separate opening from completing
Opening a dialler is not proof that a call connects. Opening a booking site is not an actual reservation. We check the agreed destination without placing calls, sending messages or creating appointments unless that additional test is expressly authorised.
Check the final handover
Review labels, placement and the supplied final links. Try the normal customer route on your own phone, paying attention to a wrong map branch or an outdated booking account. Report the particular destination that differs from the approved information.
What to check
- The visible label describes the action accurately.
- Each link opens the intended destination.
- Buttons remain easy to select on a phone without overlapping other controls.
